Toronto - Canada

CN Tower, M'Montreal Hotel, ROM, and other places to visit.

The CN Tower remains Toronto’s most defining landmark, a futuristic needle dominating the skyline and offering unmatched urban views. Once the world’s tallest freestanding structure, it continues to attract visitors with its glass elevators, panoramic LookOut Level, and the EdgeWalk — a hands-free, open-air experience along the tower’s outer rim. Whether admired from the waterfront or explored from within, the CN Tower embodies Toronto’s reputation for architectural ambition and international appeal.

Royal Ontario Museum

The Royal Ontario Museum is one of North America’s largest and most comprehensive museums, blending world culture, natural history, and cutting-edge design. Its striking Michael Lee-Chin Crystal — a modern, angular structure of glass and steel — contrasts dramatically with the ROM’s historic façade, symbolizing the fusion of old and new that defines the city. Inside, visitors encounter everything from dinosaur fossils and ancient civilizations to rotating contemporary exhibitions, making the ROM a cornerstone of Toronto’s cultural scene.

Toronto Islands

Just a short ferry ride from downtown, the Toronto Islands offer an unexpected escape from the city without ever truly leaving it. This cluster of small islands provides beaches, bike paths, picnic areas, and some of the most spectacular skyline views in Canada. Families enjoy Centre Island’s attractions, while others seek out the quieter trails of Ward’s and Hanlan’s Point. The islands serve as Toronto’s backyard playground, balancing the city’s fast pace with serene natural beauty.

M Montréal - Hostel/Hotel

M Montréal ( My favorite place to stay on visits) has become one of the city’s most popular modern stays, blending the comfort of a boutique hotel with the community atmosphere of a contemporary hostel. Set in the lively Village district, it places guests within walking distance of Montréal’s nightlife, cafés, and metro access. The property features stylish private rooms, upscale dormitories, and standout amenities such as rooftop jacuzzis and a vibrant social bar that regularly hosts events. For travelers seeking affordability without sacrificing design, cleanliness, or experience, M Montréal stands out as a top choice in the city’s hospitality scene. ( Kudos to Emma for booking my stay! )
